Before I comment specifically on our visit to Provincetown (P-Town by the locals), I need to describe our arrival from a visual perspective….we have seen the most beautifully colored flowers, every color known to man and every kind of flower. We must be here at peak blooming season, everything is abloom….truly a visual
delight. So, our first drive was to Ptown to enjoy the cultural diversity, the artisans and literally being at one end of the land masses on earth! The most striking aspect of this area is the co-existence of dense forestation and sandy beaches. Truly a confusion to your sense of location. But you do walk across thick layers of pine needles to get to the sands of the beaches.Dawn has been our driver and she has a remarkable sense of direction and she is better than a satellite with a GPS. She drives us around like she has lived here all her life. Another thing I have learned about my travelling compadres is that they all like and enjoy Elvis Presley music. We all linger in the car until his song is over and we sing along with him on the Elvis station. And my friend Carolyn has surprised me with her devotion to Elvis…she has always loved Paul…she is now planning our next trip to guess where in Memphis!
Thank goodness they like Elvis or they might throw you out of the car. Or you might throw them out of the car. Either way, it would hamper your vacation.
