Terry’s Birthday – August 10, 2009
Its was hot! The weather that is…..Carolyn, Carole and I walked to the beach…….we still haven’t seen the tide when it is in……??? We ran into a really nice local guy who taught us all about Clam digging…….he showed us how to look for Spit holes and then how to dig them out with out getting cut. I thought it was too much work for just a little bit of food, so I didn’t want to pay attention to him…….but he was really nice and I think he liked Carole, cause she had her shirt on backwards………We decided to drive to Chatham, but first we had to go see the guy that manages the cottage because Carole locked the door to the cellar and that is where the washer and dryer is…..so we had to go see if he had a key……gave us some great ideas for dinner and other places to get food near by. There is not a McDonalds, a Burger King or a TACO CABANA anywhere on this island. These people have gills all they do is swim, fish and eat fish. Chatham is very Cape Cod…..typical shops that are beach themed. Bought some cute things to bring home…….Had a marvelous meal at Van Renneslaers…..Potatoe crusted Salmon with mashed Sweet Pototoes…..hmmmmmmm good. Cream Brulee for dessert……then we rushed back to blog…..then it was off to the library parking lot to see if we could pick up a signal to get internet…..after lurking around the library in the dark we were unsuccessful so we went home and went to bed.
