Day one 8/8/09

Dawn greeted us at 4:30AM with a one pound bag of M&M's to start the trip! Breakfast of champions. We had over an hour delay in Detroit due to technical problems with a door to the airplane (we wanted this fixed before we left so ok'd the delay) and then rain and lightening (saw no lightening so we were cursing now). The rain was fun to see though since we had forgotten what it looked like. We had a little trouble finding the house in the dark but got in, made our beds after an hour of trying to get into the linen closet. All windows are left open all night so murderers can crawl in at will. I locked mine but Dawn left hers open and with a fan on her. I had a blanket, bedspread and a sheet. Dawn sleeps with earplugs so she will not hear the murderer. My only hope is he kills her slowly so I will hear the event and can escape. She slept like a log. I kept my ears alert for signs of invasion. Due to technical difficulty, pictures will follow.
