Chatham

Monday August 10, 2009
So we spent one day in Ptown and did a lot of people watching, the best entertainment, (picture to follow). The second day we were in Chatham, the exact opposite…a community with old beautiful homes, each with luscious manicured lawns with mother nature’s co-operation providing the perfect mix of rain and sunshine to maintain the images such as these. (Pictures to follow) The shopping was upscale, local shops with a slant toward the sea-faring and pottery that honored the hydrangeas that populated the area as evidenced by these pictures to follow.
Carolyn and I keep waiting for our ship to come in but I doubt it will because we cannot even catch the tide when it is in. We have checked twice and so far, no ocean! We are left standing on clam spit which we learned to recognize by the tutelage of a seasoned clam digger who was most willing to share all his experiences and even a demonstration. We have yet to try our technique but we will.
