Day 3

Day 3 8/10/09
I am officially 60 years old today and it sure sounds old!! We went shopping in Chatham and saw gorgeous flowers everywhere. We stopped the car in the street so I could jump out and be photographed with giant hollyhocks in someones yard. So fun!! We all sang to Elvis songs real loud – Carole did one solo and it was priceless – you had to be there!! We ate at a nice restaurant in Wellfleet where I ordered mussels. Had a little trouble getting them out, amusing a couple across from us. Carole ended up taking pictures of them!! I wasn’t too fond of the taste of mussels or the battle in getting them out but I will keep on trying the new food. It did get warmer today but not hot to me yet. I love the weather. Oh, and we also went to the library at 10:00 at night to try and get a computer connection which almost ended up being lethal. Dawn asked if she should turn right at an intersection and Carolyn said yes-----we ended up at the beach and could have taken a quick dip just like Ted Kennedy did one night on the Cape but then again, Dawn was sober so we just turned around. Thank you Dawn for once again saving the day!!
