Moby Dick slept here!

Whale of A Tale – Day Five – August 12,2009
Our morning began at the Library (yes Jimmy we really do go to the REAL LIBRARY) we had to post our entries onto the blog. I had everyone type their postings last night so that we could go to the library and cut and paste quickly…..well that worked until we got to Carolyn…..she had technical difficulty when accepting the invitation. So tomorrow we will have to get her set up so she can post.
We started our travels today heading North to PTown…..(ProvinceTown) We had a Whale Watching cruise scheduled for 2:00 and wanted to eat before we got to the boat. We had a delicious meal at Vorelli’s…..I had a wonderful Crab Cake….it was really good, better than the one from the first day. We proceeded to the boat for our exciting whale spotting voyage aboard the Dolphin VIII. It was cloudy and misty as we left the dock. We found seats on the top deck at the back so we could see all around us. As we progressed away from land, it became colder and colder…..but it was so cool to see the shore line, it looked just like the map so you could tell exactly where you were. As we went out we saw lots of fishing boats, so the fishing must have been good. We then spotted a Spray shoot up and then a Humpback Whale surfaced. We saw several come right up to the boat. It was much closer than I had seen in Alaska….but the whales were not as active as in Alaska, but it was still awesome………….after the voyage we went shopping in town again and purchased more exciting gifts for our loved ones and of course ourselves. Headed for home and spent a quiet evening at the kitchen writing about our journeys. Pictures will be posted later….
